Format and weightings below are the 2026 position. Nothing CST-specific has been published for 2027 — the national timelines page still says only that details of future rounds will be added once available.

Because the questions are given live, the station rewards a structure you can apply to anything rather than rehearsed answers to expected topics.
Top Tips
- Have one prioritisation framework and use it every time — urgency, delegation, escalation.
- Say when you would call a senior. It is marked as judgement, not weakness.
- Answer at the level of a CT1 starting the job, not a consultant.
